ENTERTAINMENT

Animals are not the property of humans to enslave and make perform for them.

Animals are unique individuals with the natural right to live free from exploitation.

RESPECTING ANIMALS MEANS BOYCOTTING & PROTESTING ALL FORMS OF ANIMAL ENTERTAINMENT, INCLUDING:

*CIRCUSES*:

Forced labor takes away an individual’s freedom and choice.

Forcing animals to perform tricks for human pleasure is unconscionable.

*ZOOS & AQUARIUMS*:

Confinement is painful in many ways for all animals. Whether or not they are captured in the wild, sentient beings are deprived of their freedom, their wild hearts, and their right to live as they want.

*RODEOS*:

Animals are not ours to ride, rope, or do anything else to. Animals naturally throw humans off their backs; rodeos exploit even this natural instinct in a competition for human enjoyment.

*RACING OF ANIMALS*:

Like animals bred and enslaved for food, animals bred into racing are killed when their usefulness to humans runs out – when they slow down or become injured. Animals run fast in these situations out of fear, beating, and training that uses the same.

*USE OF ANIMALS IN MOVIES/T.V./ETC.*:

Many humans aspire to be on t.v. and movies, animals do not. For animals, this is enslavement and forced labor away from their families and natural environment. Like circus animals performing very unnatural acts, these animals perform from beatings, fear, and a lot of training using the same. The “smile” of many apes are really fear grimaces. This is not fun for the animals. Other animals, like horses, are ridden and made to recreate war scenes that involve load noises, explosions, tripping, injuries, and sometimes death. We can have animals in our movies via today’s technology, not slavery and exploitation.

*COMPANIONSHIP*:

More than an estimated 4 million cats and dogs are euthanized in “shelters” every year in the U.S. alone. Millions of other animals once brought into a relationship with humans as “pets”, such as guinea pigs, lizards, rabbits, ferrets, snakes, mice, and rats, are killed similarly. Many more die on the street or wilderness, abandoned by humans. Every animal purchased from a breeder or store supports the animal slave trade and kills an animal needing rescue.

*OTHER EXPLOITATIONS*:

Horse carriages on our streets are the result of training, blinders, animal slavery and forced labor. All horse riding or use by humans is the result of “breaking the spirit” of the individual and forcing them into submission and performance according to human desire.

LET’S CREATE A WORLD WHERE ALL BEINGS LIVE WITHOUT EXPLOITATION,

WHERE NO ONE IS USED WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT.
